A large December snow and ice storm postponed my planned trip into Coyote Buttes and The Wave. I will try to rescedule for sometine this coming year. In place of the Wave trip, I made a winter venture into Zion - photos coming soon!
Later this year I hope to take in Antelope Canyon and the newer Canyon X. I will also make my semi-annual trips to Southern Utah taking in the sights and parks in that area.

Landscapes and Abstract
My first love has always been landscape photography. I am always looking for the next breathtaking vista, and the southwest is full of more vistas than one person can see in a lifetime. It is also necessary to look for things that can be easily walked past or looked over – the interesting play of light on a boulder field or the juxtaposition of a log fall and undergrowth. I have forayed into still life and abstract and will likely do so in the future, but will always gravitate to sweeping landscape images or intricate nature portraits.
